Extended Range Foundation
The Extended Range foundation course is a designed for recreational divers that would like to see what technical diving is like. Its like a Try Scuba experience for tech diving.
This course will not qualify you to do anything you couldn’t already do. But even though there no actual technical diving (going past recreational limits or in overhead environments) in this programme you will leave knowing more about diving in general and have a better skill set than before.
Extended Range Foundation
The programme takes a full day and consists of 3 parts:
Theory – We discuss what technical diving is and we go over the different types of technical diving. We have a look at the different types of equipment and their configurations. And general introduction to Sidemount and different types of Rebreathers.
Skills – We will then set up our twin set and stage tank and head to the lake. Once in the water we will learn a new pre-dive safety check that technical divers use. We will learn proper finning techniques, proper trim and buoyancy control. We will move on to emergency skills and how to switch and breathe from a stage cylinder safely.
Dive – Once you are happy with all the skills and exercises we will head out into open water for a dive. This will give you time to get comfortable with the twin set and see how it feels.
- Prerequites: 16 years - medical statement
- Open Water diver
- Logged 24 dives at least
- Complete at least four (4) pool/confined water sessions, with a cumulative time of at least 240 minutes, that include all skills for the applicable certification level.

Extended Range Nitrox
Il corso SSI Extended Range Nitrox Diving offre ai subacquei l'addestramento necessario per pianificare ed eseguire autonomamente immersioni, con limitato obbligo di decompressione, fino alla profondità di 40 m, utilizzando miscele Nitrox fino al 50 % di ossigeno, un Sistema Totale d'Immersione e procedure Extended Range, con un compagno allo stesso livello di certificazione, o superiore.

Extended Range
Questo è un corso impegnativo, durante il quale ti impegnerai seriamente per diventare un subacqueo tecnico.Il corso SSI Extended Range offre ai subacquei un addestramento necessario per pianificare ed eseguire autonomamente immersioni con limitato obbligo di decompressione, fino alla profondità di 45 m, avendo a disposizione miscele decompressive fino al 100 % di ossigeno, per un tempo massimo totale di 25 min di decompressione per immersione, utilizzando attrezzatura e procedure dedicate, con un compagno allo stesso livello di certificazione, o superiore.

Technical Extended Range
Il corso SSI Technical Extended Range offre ai subacquei l'addestramento necessario per pianificare e condurre autonomamente un'immersione con obbligo di decompressione a tappe multiple, con due (2) cambi gas, fino alla profondità di 50 m (60 m se con Trimix), usando attrezzatura e procedure dedicate, in coppia con un compagno di pari qualifica o superiore.
